The Root of It

I've always had long hair. And I'm proud of it. And the only times I had cut it short coincided with some sort of emotional crisis. And those few times are like when I realised my then boyfriend was cheating on me with my very own best friend, when when my mom filed for divorce, when I lost a whopping $300K in my very first investment, and when I was fed-up with myself. Those are times when I just walked into any salon like an unhappy possessed woman and asked for it to be lopped off. That's the past though. I guess what they say is true.. When a woman chops off her hair, it means her life is in a mess. I can't help but imagine myself walking into a hairdressing salon and giving motivational talk to fellow women who demands for a haircut. A woman's hair is a barometer of her emotional self. That is to say, when a woman does something drastic to her hair,it's a sign that her life is in a mess. Ms BritneyshallowaseverpoptartSpears is one classic example. But I shan't go in detail about her. I realise that a post devoted to her is not worth the effort. Really. For God's sake. It's just hair. It'll grow back. What about perming,colouring/highlighting, rebonding then? Permed hair, to me is a sexy change to a woman's appearance. Bold, sexy curls with body to me signifies wealth, youth and fertility. It takes a whole lot of confidence to carry this look. I don't mind sitting in the salon for hours just to get my hair done by a gay hairdresser and suffer a butt-ache but look fabulous later as I strut out of the salon. Nothing beats a refreshing change. What is a digital perm anyway?

Coloring/highlighting, on the other hand signifies rebellious attitude. Some school boys and girls highlight their hair just to break the school rules and get the attention from their teachers and parents. For women, it is just one of those drastic change they make when they want to motivate themselves and cheer themselves up. Some colour their hair to hide the graying hairs that rebelliously grew despite the amount of peroxide that was fed in their scalp. Depending on the skills and the fees of the hairdressers.. Some look much better with highlights of red/brown/blue/blonde. Some looked like awful peacocks. I would kill for hair like Beyonce Knowles. But I cant seem to bribe her hairstylist to work for me. :p

Rebonding? Seriously. No offense. Why would anyone want a straightbuthardaswire hair? It looks like a clump of horse mane to me. It looks good on certain women who can carry off this look. But straight and kaku-like-stick hair looks good on mannequins. Not women. In my opinion, Women should have natural, lustrous locks. But if you think that rebonding would suit your face and lifestyle better, then go for it. I rather go for brazillian wax then go for a haircut. It makes me feel lighter, sexier and I feel soooo damn good after my brazillian wax appointment.

When i feel sad and unhappy. I just go shopping or visit the spa.

Now, that's a better way to de-stress.

Right?

Men u have to look at their changes BT. FOr example, if he is clean cut, then suddenly he has a goatee or moustache, he might be telling u something.... like he is having someone else.... like I need to have a change.....

Come to think of it, I think a study should be done on this subject matter.
